Trasamar, More shoot way to State

Buc golfers Jon Trasamar (left) and Tom More have qualified for the individual State Meet competition set for Thursday in Jordan.
Two Blue Earth Area Buccaneer boy golfers will be heading to the State Golf Meet next Thursday, June 5.
Both Jon Trasamar and Tom More qualified for State.
It is not the first time for either of them. Trasamar, a junior, has been there twice before and More once.
“I went as a freshman, both on the team and as an individual,” More said. “It’s great that I get to go again as a senior, a good way to end the year.”
The State Meet is on Thursday and Friday, June 5 and 6.
The boys will play 18 holes on both days. It is being held on the Ridges at Sand Creek Course in Jordan.
Trasamar and More qualified for state by placing in the top five players at the Section Meet in Dodge Center on May 27.
Trasamar was the meet medalist, shooting a one under par 71 (36-35). More shot an 82 (41-41) for the fourth lowest score.
The Buccaneer team had won the Sub-section and had advanced as a team to the Section Meet, where they took second.
The Bucs shot a 328, just seven strokes off the winning score, a 321 shot by Waseca.
Waseca now advances to the State Meet, as do the top five players not on the winning team.
Other BEA golf team members scores were Derek Abel with an 87 (46-41) and Andy Aukes with an 88 (44-44).
Thane Nowak shot a 97 and Nate Glimsdal a 105 but were not part of the team total.
