Girls 4th, boys 5th at I-90 meet
The Bucs girls and boys cross country teams finished fourth and fifth respectively at the I-90 meet at Cedar Creek Park in Fairmont on Thursday.
The BEA girls had a team score of 102.
Courtney Grandgenett posted the fifth best overall time with a 15:28. LaNay Walker was the next Buc runner to cross the finish line in 14th place with 15:43.
Marissia Hagedorn’s 16:02 earned her the 21st spot, followed by Lindsey Ankeny 27th in 16:19 and Miranda Murray’s 35th-place finish in 16:40.
For the boys, BEA totaled 115 points to end up in fifth place. The Bucs were just one point behind Martin County West.
Eduardo Vega led the way with a 12th-place showing with a time of 17:50, edging out Riley Holmseth in 13th place with the same time.
Aaron Wilhelmi took 27th with 18:24, followed by Wade Wilhelmi’s 18:34 for 31st and Brandon Christians’ 35th-place finish in 18:44.
