BEA loses on the road

A poor second half doomed the Blue Earth Area Buccaneer boys basketball team to a loss in Jackson last Tuesday night.

After being tied at 23 at halftime, the Jackson County Central Huskies doubled the Bucs output in the second half (28-14) and won the game 51-37.

The non-conference loss dropped the Bucs record to 13-8 for the season. JCC’s record went to 8-16.

Garrett Anderson led all scorers in the game with 16 points. He had eight in each half.

Nick Lee added eight for BEA, and Nathan Carr tallied six.

For the Huskies, Patrick Garvin scored 15 points, and Matt Kocak added 12 .

JCC was 6 of 8 from the free throw line, while BEA did not attempt a free throw in the game.

This week the Bucs travel to Windom on Monday, and will then host Belle Plaine here on Thursday.
