The Buccaneer girls golf team took first place honors at a triangular meet at GHEC on Friday, April 17.

BEA shot a 197 for the win. Madelia was second with a 217, and GHEC’s score was incomplete.

Medalist for the nine hole event was AnaMaria Tarazona from Madelia, who shot a 38.

Morgan Dickman led the way for the Bucs, scoring a 46. Emily Slama was right behind with a 49. Both Jessica Skaare and Autumn Drake had a 51.

The Bucs other two varsity golfers were not far off the pace. Mackenzie Lein carded a 52 and Olivia Skaare shot a 54.

“Good score by Morgan,” Coach Al Cue commented. “She has been pretty consistent this season.”

The Buc mentor was pleased with the consistent scores of all the team members, noting the team has depth to rely on.

“It was good to see Emily and Autumn shooting lower scores,” he said.
