Three members of the Blue Earth Area Buccaneer boys golf team qualified last Tuesday to move on to the 2 AA Section Golf Tournament on Tuesday in St. James.

Jon Trasamar, Derek Abel and Nate Glimsdal all made it into the top ten players who were not members of the top two teams at the 2AA Sub-Section Golf Tournament last week in Fairmont.

Trasamar shot an 84 (43-41) which was good for a tie for third place. Abel came in with a 92 (47-45) which put him in 11th place overall, and seventh on the section list.

Glimsdal shot a 96 (48-48) for the remaining tenth spot for players moving on.

Buc player Slater Peterson actually tied teammate Glimsdal with a 96 (47-49), but was cut from moving on to the section meet on a tie-breaker. Both were tied for 16th in the conference.

After shooting a 47 on the front nine, Buc golfer Andy Aukes fell ill and had to withdraw from the meet.

Members of the top two teams from the sub-section meet move on to the Section both as members of their team, and as individuals. Then the next 10 low scorers not on those two teams also get to move on.

St. Peter was first with a 364 score, while LeSueur Henderson was a close second at 365. BEA came in third with a 368, and just missed moving on as a full team to the Section.
