The Blue Earth Area Buccaneer girls basketball team snared the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Class AA – South Sub-section Tournament.

BEA (16-4) will host No. 8 seed Triton in a 7 p.m. game in Blue Earth on Tuesday, March 2.

If the Bucs win, they will play either No. 5 seed USC or No. 4 seed Maple River in a 7 p.m. game on Friday, March 5.

NRHEG was given the No. 2 seed, and plays Southland in the first round. No. 3 Hayfield and No. 6 Kasson-Mantorville round out the Sub-section teams.

The Sub-section championship game is set for 8 p.m. March 8 at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
