Bucs down N. Ulm, MCW

Jessica Skaare belts a long drive

The Buccaneer girls golf team notched back-to-back wins last Monday and Tuesday on their only two home golf meets of the year.

BEA bested New Ulm on Monday at Riverside Town and Country Golf Club, then defeated Martin County West on Tuesday at the Minn-Iowa Golf Club in Elmore.

Morgan Dickman was the medalist in the meet against MCW on Tuesday, shooting a 44 for the nine hole contest.

Following right behind her was Jessica Skaare who shot a 45.

Rounding out the Bucs team total of 191 were Samantha Hogstad with a 50 and Mackenzie Lein shooting a 52.

Other varsity scores for Blue Earth Area were Olivia Skaare with a 53 and Autumn Drake with a 56.

MCW shot a team total 210. Low scorer for the Mavericks was Taylor Ask with a 47.

BEA 396, New Ulm 415

The Buc’s Jessica Skaare was the medalist on Monday when BEA defeated New Ulm 396-415 in an 18-hole meet.

Skaare shot an 87 (44-43) for the top honors, edging out New Ulm’s Miranda McKeeth by one stroke.

Morgan Dickman took second for the Bucs with a 99 (48-51). Olivia Skaare added a 105 (54-51) as did teammate Autumn Drake (52-53).

Tessa Huber with a 112 (58-54) and Mackenzie Lein, also 112 (53-59), rounded out the Bucs varsity scoring.

This week the Bucs play at Fairmont on Monday, then travel to USC on Friday.
