The Blue Earth Area Buccaneer girls golf team had little trouble notching a win against the St. James Saints last Monday evening.

Three members of the Buccaneer team turned in scores lower than the best score carded by any of the Saints.

Allie Curtis was the medalist, coming in with a 46 for the nine hole contest.

Autumn Drake was right behind, carding a 51. Natali Fellows followed with a 63, and Emily Davids and Kali Viland tied for the fourth spot with identical 66 scores.

BEA’s team total was 226.

Aeli Olson was not too far off the rest with a 69.

For St. James, Kali Wright was low scorer with a 65. Lindsey Haler shot a 69, Rachel Kircher a 71 and Lupe Alanguer a 72.

The Saints team total score was 277.

The meet was played on a chilly Riverside Town and Country Golf Club course, for the Bucs home opener.

Up next for BEA is a meet in New Ulm on Monday and one in St. Peter on Tuesday.

The Bucs will host the Rebels of USC on Friday.
