Hassing lone Buc girl selected for SCC All-Conference
Now that the Blue Earth Area girls basketball season has come to an end, the South Central Conference has announced their 2012-2013 All-Conference team.
Six-foot senior Krista Hassing was the lone Buc to be named to the SCC?list this year.
Hassing spent the season racking up some impressive stats for herself and making her mark at the top in BEA’s stats history.
She scored a total of 398 points this season which contributed to her career total of 973 points.
Buc coach Al Cue says this was the seventh best of all time for a BEA?girls player.
Hassing had a season total of 225 rebounds which also broke some records. This amount was the fifth best all time at BEA.
Throughout her basketball career she grabbed a total of 581 rebounds which is the fourth most rebounds for a Bucs girl ever.
Coach Cue adds that she also scored the third most free throws in a season with 122 made.
Hassing had 26 blocks this season sixth best all time and 54 blocks in her career fifth best all time.
This season she had 75 steals which contributed to her career total of 197. That was the 11th best of all time at BEA.
She also had 48 assists this season and 140 assists throughout her career.
The SCC?All-Conference team had three players from Waseca the conference champion team, two from St. Peter, two from Fairmont and one from St. James.
