Boys track team finish second at USC/AC Invite
The Blue Earth Area track and field team finished in second place at the United South Central /Alden-Conger Invitational last Tuesday.
The boys team results were: USC/AC 89, BEA 86, MCW 55, NRHEG 42.
The 4 x 100-meter relay team consisting of Derek Johnson, Gus Phillips, Nick Shure and Bailey Olson finished in first place with a combined total of 46.95.
Johnson, Phillips, Olson and Brandon Olson took second in the 4 x 400-meter relay with a combined total of 3:43.69.
Individually, BEA did quite well. Bailey Olson finished first in the 200-meter dash (24.36); Brandon Olson finished first in the 300-meter int. hurdles (45.28); Nick Shure took first in the long jump (21-3 1/4); Tyler Hannaman finished first in the pole vault (9-6) and Jacob Johnson placed second (9-0); Derek Johnson took first in the high jump (5-4); Chris Sanders took first in the 3200-meter run (11:08.10); Camden Bowers placed second in the 400-meter dash (57.14) and second in the 100-meter dash (12.04); Brandon Olson took second in the 110-meter high hurdles (17.68) and Shure finished second in the triple jump (39-5 1/2).

Seth Becker (26.8), Hannaman (28.8), Kyle Perry (26.8) and John Lindsey (27.3) took fourth place finish (1:49.70).
4 x 800-meter relay
Becker (2:25.5), Tristan Drake (2:28.7), Lindsey (2:43.6) and Alex Benson (2:36.8) took a fourth place (10:14.60).

Buccaneer Invite
The Blue Earth Area boys track and field team finished in fourth place at the Buccaneer Invitational held on April 12.
The boys team results were: Fairmont 331, Waseca 323, St. James 276, BEA 228, USC/AC 204, MCW 164, BEA JV 46.
Top individual performances came from Brandon Olson and Tyler Hannaman, who both tied for second in the pole vault (10-0).
Bailey Olson took third place in the 100-meter dash (11.9), Danny Krieger also finished third in the shot put (42-8) and Krieger finished third in discus (116-0).

Jordan Frandle (26.0), Gunnar Fering (27.2), Tyler Hannaman (26.8) and John Lindsey (26.2) finished fourth with a combined total of 1:46.0.
4 x 400-meter relay
