Girls take first at Buc-5 Invite
The Blue Earth Area girls track and field team finished first at the Buc-5 Invite in Blue Earth on April 25.
The girls team results were: BEA 112, MCW 76, NRHEG 72, M/T/GHEC/ ML 58, LCWM/N 56.
The 4 x 100-meter relay team consisting of Paige Darrington, Miranda Johnson, Melissa Hagedorn and Skylee Bell took first place (53.3).
The 4 x 100 banana relay consisting of Sierra Halvorson, Mariah Twedt, Mariah Mauris and Jennifer Quintero captured first place (77.9).
Bell finished first in the 100-meter dash (13.5) and the 200-meter dash (27.3); Nicole Lium took first in the high jump (4-10) and pole vault (8-3) and Hagedorn finished first in the 300-meter low hurdles (52.4).
Miranda Johnson took second place in the 100-meter dash (13.6), the 200-meter dash (27.9) and the long jump (14-3 1/2). Also, Hagedorn finished second in the pole vault (7-6).

Alissa Norman (28.7), Malorie Huber (29.6), Justina Gaydon (30.6) and Sofie Blair took third place (1:58.6).
4 x 400-meter relay
