BEA claims 2nd place at the St. James triangular

Blue Earth Area Buccaneer tennis head coach decided to shake up his roster a little bit when the team traveled to St. James on Sept. 27 for a triangular individual tournament.

The Buc mentor decided to have some of his singles players play doubles, while several doubles teammates played singles.

Playing No. 1 singles was Karli Olsen; No. 2 singles was Natali Fellows; No. 3 singles was Paige Darrington; and Beka Krussow was at No. 4 singles.

Karleigh Wolff and Gracie Leland teamed up at No. 1 doubles; Annika Wilhelmi and Lacey Benz at No. 2 doubles; and Annaliese Klinkner and Angie Cyphers were at No. 3 doubles.

Wilhelmi and Benz claimed a championship at No. 2 by going 2-0 at the tourney.

Olsen at No. 1 singles, Fellows at No. 2 and Krussow at No. 4 all went 1-1 at the tourney. All of the other BEA entries finished 0-2.

The host team, St. James, claimed the top of the team standings with 21 points, followed by BEA in second with 8.5 points and St. Peter with six.
