Six Bucs named to All-BSC honors
Six members of the Section champion Blue Earth Area Buccaneer tennis team received more honors this past week when they were named to the Big South Conference All-Conference lists.
Karleigh Wolff, Paige Darrington and Natali Fellows were on the All-Conference team while Karli Olsen, Beka Krussow and Anikka Wilhelmi were Honorable Mention.
All conference honors are decided on a point system with points earned by position played and number of conference wins.
The top 10 point winners are named to all conference, while the next five receive honorable mention designations.
Wolff, a senior, tallied the second most points, 29, in the East Division of the BSC.
Wolff has played at No. 1 singles since ninth grade. She had a 24-9 record with three of her losses coming when she was asked to play doubles. She is a six year letter winner.
Paige Darrington and Natali Fellows tied at 21 conference points.
Darrington, a junior, had a 23-7 record and played mostly at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles.
Fellows, also a junior, had a 25-7 record for the season. She played mostly No. 1 doubles and some singles play.
Honorable Mention player Karli Olsen, another junior, scored 20 conference points and had a record of 27-5. She played mostly doubles. She did play singles in two individual tournaments during the year, and she was runner-up in both of them.
BEA junior Wilhelmi, another Honorable Mention designee, had an 18-12 record and also had 20 conference points. She played mostly No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Krussow, a senior, also had 20 conference points, and like Olsen and Wilhelmi, just missed the cut for the All-Conference list.
Krussow had a record of 21-9 and mostly played No. 2 doubles. She is a three-year letter winner.
