BEA falls to Huskies
The Buccaneers traveled to take on the undefeated Huskie gymnasts last Thursday.
After their meet, Jackson County Central remained unbeaten as they defeated Blue Earth Area in team totals and on individual events.
The maroon and gold, although having started the season without a win, does remain consistent throughout their meets.
Their team scores have finished around the 100-point range and their meet against the Huskies was no different.
The Bucs finished that meet with a total of 97.8 points. In fact, the last time BEA?faced JCC was at a home invite and the Bucs had scored 97.4.
JCC finished the dual meet against BEA?with a total team score of 140.075.
But, not only were they unbeaten as a team, they also seemed to be untouched individually.
JCC’s Haley Bass took the top position in three of the four exercises including; vault with 9.125, bars with 8.75 and beam with 9.25.
Bass also placed third for all around with a total score of 27.1256.
Brooklyn Schuett of JCC?was the top in the all-around category with a score of 34.7. She also placed first on the floor with 9.225 and was tied for first on the vault and took third on bars and beam.
No Buccaneer gymnasts took top places during this meet. However, they will have a chance to compete again after the holiday break.
BEA?will host Fairmont on Jan. 8 in the Winnebago Elementary gym.
