Buccaneer girls golf starts season with a 1-1 record
The Blue Earth Area Buccaneer girls golf team made a dramatic drop in their team score when they played in their second meet of the season last Tuesday.
And, the Bucs notched their first win, moving to a 1-1 season record.
BEA came in with a team score of 225, far below the 240 they had shot on Monday night at the Minn-Iowa course in Elmore.
Tuesday night the Bucs were playing on the Fox Lake course at Sherburn against Martin County West. MCW came in with a DNF score (did not finish). Even so, the Buccaneers were pleased with the 15 point drop in their team score from the day before.
Natali Fellows again led the Buccaneers by coming in with a 44 for the circle ten meet.
Kaitlyn Olsen and Mateja Lane tied for the next lowest score with a pair of 59s.
Next up was Malarie Scholtes with a 63, Signe Olson with a 64 and Olivia Myer who carded a 65.
This week the Buccaneers host St. James on Monday, then travel to the New Ulm Invitational on Thursday and come back and host Windom on Friday.
