The Minnesota Football Coaches Association (MFCA) has announced the 88 players who will participate in the 43rd Annual MFCA Tackle Cancer All-Star Football Game. The All-Star Football Game will showcase outstanding senior players from the 2015 Minnesota high school football season.

One of those players is Blue Earth Area senior Bailey Olson. While Olson played quarterback this past season for the Buccaneers, he will back to his wide receiver position to play in the All-Star Football Game.

Olson, the son of Jeff and Heidi Olson of Blue Earth, will be playing wide receiver also at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.

Players and coaches representing 83 schools, 17 Districts and 39 Sub-Districts will participate in this year’s All-Star Football Game. They were selected by members of the Minnesota Football Coaches Association.

The 43rd annual All-Star Football Game will be played on Saturday June 25, with the kick-off at 1:00 PM. The All-Star Game will be played for the 10th time at Husky Stadium on the campus of the St. Cloud State University. The June 25 All-Star Game will also be the 54th overall in Minnesota high school football history, dating back to 1945.

For the sixth consecutive year, the game will feature the North All-Stars vs the South All-Stars. In the 2015 game, the South All-Stars defeated the North All-Stars 21-10 at Husky Stadium.

The South All-Stars lead the current North-South series 4-1. The South All-Stars have won four consecutive games. The South also leads the overall North-South series 12-9-1 after 22 games.

The All-Star training camp will be held for the fifth time at St. John’s University (Collegeville, MN) from Sunday June 19 to Saturday June 25. The teams will travel from Collegeville to Husky Stadium on Saturday June 25 to play the All-Star Game.

Tickets can be purchased from the high school coach in your community. Tickets will also be available at the Husky Stadium gate on June 25.

The June 25 game will be the final MFCA All-Star Football game to be played in the summer. Going forward, the MFCA plans to play future All-Star Football games in early December at the new US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
