Hunter Spencer was one of two BEA boys golf team members who received All-BSC Honorable Mention.

While the Blue Earth Area Buccaneer boys golf team was in contention for the overall championship of the Big South Conference due to going unbeaten in the Eastern Division they fell a bit short.

The Buccaneers shot a team total 355 and ended up behind two other teams.

“I thought the boys battled well at the Big South Conference Tournament,” coach Travis Armstrong said. “We were competing for the team title with West Division co-winners Jackson and Worthington by virtue of our undefeated conference record in the regular season. Both teams outshot us today, but I am proud of how our guys battled.

Worthington won it with a score of 344. Jackson County Central (JCC) took second with a 346. The conference tourney was held last Monday, May 23, in Fairmont.
