One Blue Earth Area boys tennis team member was recently recognized as being on the Big South Conference All-Conference team.

Jack Frundt, a BEA ninth grader was given the All-BSC honor.

Frundt played first singles for all of the BEA boys tennis team’s conference meets, earning him five conference points each for the five meets the Bucs had against conference opponents for a total of 25 points.

“Jack had some tough competition playing as our number one, but he was pretty competitive in all the matches,” says Buc boys coach Konny Wolff. “Most matches he played were against juniors or seniors. We are looking for good things in the future for him.”

As a team, the Bucs took fifth place in the East Division of the Big South Conference. The maroon and gold boys defeated Redwood Valley in the BSC crossover match back on May 16.

The Fairmont Cardinals took first in the East Division, but lost the overall conference championship title to the West Division champion Luverne Cardinals, 5-2.
