Bucs winning streak ends at four
After four straight wins to start the 2018 season, the BEA tennis team fell to Le Sueur Henderson on Aug. 24. Teá Armstrong, pictured above in a match against United South Central, has been a major contributor so far this season for the maroon and gold.

The Blue Earth Area Buccaneer girls tennis team suffered their first loss after a 4-0 start to the 2018 season.
The Bucs fell in a close 4-3 match to the Le Sueur-Henderson Giants on Friday morning, Aug. 24, in Blue Earth.
BEA, playing without one starter, Sydney Blagg, lost all three doubles matches and one singles contest.
Arika Howard notched a win for the Bucs at No. 2 singles, blanking Gretchen Dwyer, 6-0, 6-0.
At No. 3 singles, Macie Stevermer also shut out Emma Seaver, 6-0, 6-0, while the Buccaneers’ McKenna Dutton defeated Makenna Reinhardt 6-2, 6-1, at No. 4 singles.
Te Armstrong, playing at No. 1 singles, lost to Greta Nesbit, 6-0, 6-2.
Carissa Engesser and Britt Howard teamed up at No. 1 doubles, but lost to Erica Cronk and Kylie Dunning, 6-2, 6-3.
At No. 2 doubles it was Cali Beyer and Maddie McCleary, losing to Whitney Weich and Keely Olness, 6-3, 6-3.
And, at No. 3 doubles, Lyndsey Borris and Marissa Benz lost a hard fought 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) battle to Darbi Dunning and Chloe Brandt.
