Rorman in all-star contest
Caitlin Rorman will be playing in one more high school basketball game. She will be participating in the Minnesota Girls Basketball All-Star Series weekend April 12-13.
The 5-foot-11 wing will be representing the Blue Earth Area Buccaneers. Caitlin is headed to the MIAC next season to play for the Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus College! Caitlin plans on studying exercise science.
Caitlin says her dad and family have had the biggest impact on her basketball career, “My dad has had the biggest influence on me. He still encourages me and helps me to stay focused on what is most important and I’m thankful for that. My family has given me constant support and if I’m having a bad game they help me keep things in the right perspective, so I don’t get down on myself.”
The biggest lesson she learned from her coaches, “Keep pushing myself, work hard for my goals, don’t dwell on the small things and have fun.”
Caitlin began her varsity career as an eighth grader and finishes her final season as a Buccaneer as the second leading scorer in school history.
