Fairmont, USC compete in the state trap meet

Two area clay target shooting teams competed in the Minnesota State Clay Target competition held on Friday, June 21, at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake.

Fairmont Area’s clay target team took home ninth place. Team members are Colby Grotte, Jacob Bocock, Max Seifried, Tucker Bahr, Cass Davis and Jackson Francis. Bocock also placed fourth in the state individual competition by shooting a round of 99.

United South Central finished 26th in the team competition out of the 40 schools in the contest.

USC’s team consisted of Adam Stenzel, Lydia Niebuhr, Blake Legred, Connor Ehlert and Zale Bushlach with Nolan Magnuson and Jacob Billings serving as alternates.

In the individual part of the state tournament,?Keagan Meyer finished in a tie for 29th place and Joe Bushlack finished in a tie for 72nd place.
