USC runners compete at Maple River
The Rebel runners of the United South Central/Alden boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Maple River for a meet last Tuesday, Sept. 22.
The girls team came in second with a score of 45. Host Maple River took first with a score of 16 while Waterville-Elysian-Morristown had an incomplete score for third place.
The Rebel girls were led by Lauren Mutschler who placed fifth. Lyndsay Thunstedt was in seventh place and Merideth Klingbeil was right behind in eighth place.
The boys team was led by Micah Hamson who came in at third place, while Gabe Schroeder took seventh place.
The Rebel boys were in second place with 39 points. Host Maple River was first with 19 points and WEM was in third place with a score of 64.
Next up for the Rebels is a home meet at Oak View Golf Course on Thursday, Oct. 1.
