USC girls finish first against NRHEG

The United South Central/Alden boys and girls cross country teams each had their top runner place second in a meet against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva on Thursday, Oct. 1.

The Rebel girls team was led by Lauren Mutschler who placed second. Lyndsay Thunstedt came in fifth, Jenny Mulholland was in sixth, Merideth Klingbeil was in seventh and Bryn Evans placed eighth at the meet.

The USC/Alden girls had 28 team points for first while NRHEG had an incomplete score.

For the boys, Micah Hamson took second place at the meet, with Gabe Schroeder coming in third. Nathan Mutschler was in seventh place and Kolt Bullerman placed 10th.

The boys scored 34 points to place second, while NRHEG took first place with a score of 24.

Next up for the teams is the conference meet which was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m., at the River Bend Nature Center in Faribault.
