USC boys take first at Riverview
Compile best team score of the season to win by nine strokes

The United South Central Rebels boys golf team took first place in the final Gopher Conference golf meet of the season, held on Tuesday, May 18, at Riverview Golf Course.
The Rebels shot their best team score of the year and won the meet by nine strokes.
USC had a 165 for first place, while Blooming Prairie came in with 174 for second place.
Faribault Bethlehem Academy was third at 178, Hayfield fourth at 191, Maple River fifth at 199 and New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva was sixth at 209.
Kadyn Neubauer of the Rebels shot a 38, just one stroke back of the low score of the day, 37, shot by Blooming Prairie’s Kollyn Alwes, who was medalist.
Luke Pederson came in with a 41 for USC and Carter Hart and Landan Magnuson each had a 43.
The Rebels’ other two golfers, Blake Bullerman and Aiden Beckmann, shot 44 and 61 respectively.
USC’s record stands at 29-12.
The next varsity meet is the end of the season Gopher Conference Tournament set for Thursday, May 20 at Lakeside Golf Club in Waseca. Details of this 18-hole event will be in the next edition of the Faribault County Register.
NRHEG Tourney
The USC boys golf team was fourth at the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panther Invite on Monday, May 17, at Lakeside Golf & Country Club in Waseca.
The Rebels shot a 352 for fourth place. St. Peter was in first with 312, Blooming Prairie was second with 330 and Waseca third at 347.
In fifth place was Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton at 362, Hayfield sixth at 370, Triton seventh at 376, Maple River eighth at 387 and NRHEG ninth with 405.
Kadyn Neubauer led the Rebels with an 18-hole score of 84 and finished in 13th place out of 49 golfers.
Carter Hart shot an 87, closely followed by Luke Pederson with an 88. Landan Magnuson and Blake Bullerman both shot a 93, and Levi Hinkley came in with a 97.
