USC softball team loses two close games
The United South Central girls softball team took on Medford on Monday, May 17, and lost by a score of 5-1.
Mariah Anderson pitched all seven innings and gave up the five runs on five hits, walked only one batter and struck out nine.
The Rebels had seven hits in the game, but could only come up with the one run.
Kendal Harpestad was 3 for 3 at the plate. Molly Wegner was 1 for 3, and was credited with the RBI. Anderson scored the one run and was 1 for 3. Other Rebels getting singles were Erica Johannsen and Hannah Meyer.

The United South Central Rebels softball team lost a close one on Friday, May 14 against Madelia. The final score was 1-0.
Mariah Anderson pitched all six innings and gave up the one run on four hits, struck out 10 and walked three batters.
It was Molly Wegner who had the Rebels only hit in the game.
