The Blue Earth Area girls golf team competed in the Section 2AA Meet on Tuesday, June 1, at the New Prague Golf Club.

Fairmont sits on top of the leader board after the first round of the two-round event. The Cardinals produced a team score of 351. St. Peter is second with 365.

A top-four team score was needed to qualify for the second round of the tournament which will be played on June 8 at New Prague. The Bucs finished sixth with a team score of 425 to be eliminated from the team part of the competition.

However, BEA’s Kylie Rosenau qualified for the second round as an individual. Rosenau shot a 96 to sit in 13th place half way through the tournament.

Payten Gudahl finished 31st overall with a score of 106. Rylan Storbeck carded a 109 and Katelyn Storbeck shot a 114 to complete the team scoring for the Bucs.

Jordon Smith had a 117 and Maddie Ehrich finished with a 120.
