Adams and Rosenau compete at Sections
United South Central’s senior girls golfer Paige Adams finished the Section 2A Golf Tournament in 13th place overall.
Adams had shot a score of 108 in Day 1 of the tournament putting her in 10th place, then shot a 114 in Day 2 competition last Monday, June 7, at the North Links Golf Club in North Mankato.
Her two-two day total at the tournament was 222. Adams is a four-year letter winner in girls golf at USC.
The winning team at the Section Meet was Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, which will advance to the State Meet. In addition the top five golfers not on the JWP championship team also advance to the State Meet.
In Section 2AA, Blue Earth Area’s Kylie Rosenau took home a 16th place after completing the second round of the golf tournament.
Rosenau had advanced to the second round by shooting a 96 in the opening round of the tournament.
She had two pars during the second round while carding a score of 102 at the New Prague Golf Club.
Rosenau will be a senior next year at BEA.
The Fairmont Cardinals won the team portion of the Section 2AA Meet with a team score of 721. St. Peter was second with 724.
