USC’s Kadyn Neubauer

United South Central’s lone golfing entrant in the State Golf Meet did quite well.

Kadyn Neubauer shot a 74 the first day of the State Meet which was good enough to put the USC freshman in second place after the first round, played at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker.

Neubauer shot an 86 on the second day of the tournament for a total score of 160, which put him in 22nd place out of 88 golfers.

“This was impressive golf for a freshman playing in his first State Tournament,” USC boys golf coach Brad Heggen said. “We are looking forward to the 2022 golf season, as we are returning five of our six varsity golfers next year.”
