Cross country teams run at Daly Park
The Blue Earth Area cross country teams traveled north to Daly Park in Blue Earth County to participate in the Maple River Invite on Sept 16.
It was a windy, sunny day with temperatures in the mid-80s.
The girls team tallied 113 points to finish in fifth place out of eight teams. Mountain Lake Area finished in first place with 29 points. New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva was the runner-up with 62 points.
Calli Ferguson was once again the top finisher for BEA. She finished in 15th place with a time of 25:58.
Elizabeth Jacobson finished in 29:10 to finish 31st and Lauren Bleess ran a personal-best time of 29:52 to finish 34th.
Finishing 37th was Aubrey Hueper in 30:05. Leah Becker was 40th in 30:42. Addison Smith was 42nd in 33:22 and Hope Goette finished with a time of 34:14 to take 46th place.
On the boys side of the meet, the Bucs had 171 points to claim seventh place. Mountain Lake Area was first with 26 points and Waterville-Elysian-Morristown/Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton was second with 50 points.
Angel Martinez ran the 5,000 meter course in 20:48 to finish in 18th place. Devin Haase was 38th with a time of 23:04. Seth Mathews ran a personal-best time of 24:28 to finish 49th.
Foreign exchange student Luca Bucksch completed the course in 24:47 to finish 52nd. Gibson Haase, Marcus Eckles and Aiden Donahue each had personal-best times to finish 58th, 59th and 62nd, respectively. Haase finished in 25:44, Eckles had a time of 25:54 and Donahue’s time was 27:30.
Jerry Passe had a time of 28:46 to finish 64th. Eli Paz was 65th in 28:48 and Shane Levenhagen was 66th in 31:14.
