Ferguson finishes 17th at Jackson
But girls have an incomplete score, the boys finish seventh at meet
Calli Ferguson continues to improve as the season progresses in cross country. The senior ran to a 17th place finish in the Jackson Invitational cross country meet on Friday, Sept. 25.
The Bucs, along with four other teams in the nine-team field, were unable to field a complete team. Luverne won the competition with a score of 21.
Under ideal conditions of sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s, Ferguson, crossed the line in 24:59 to lead all BEA female runners.
Aubrey Hueper’s personal-best time of 28:24 was good for 42nd place.
Lauren Bleess was 53rd with a time of 31:00 and Reagan Bromeland was 59th in 35:16.
The boys team finished seventh. Angel Martinez was the first BEA runner to cross the finish line. His time of 20:51 put him in 44th place.
Brady Lorenz finished in 22:35 to take 62nd. Seth Mathews was 73rd with a time of 25:47, Aiden Donahue ran a personal-best time of 27:11 to finish 78th and Eli Paz was 81st with a time of 27:41.
The BEA cross country teams traveled to Janesville on Sept. 30, to compete in the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Grizzly Pie Invite.
BEA will travel to Fairmont on Oct. 7, for the I-90 Invite, which will be held at Cedar Creek Park.
