Boys and girls squads have nice outings at Prairie Ridge Course
The United South Central boys golf team finally enjoyed a somewhat decent day for golf last week, on Thursday, April 21, at the Prairie Ridge Golf Course in Janesville.
The Rebel team members responded by playing some very good golf and taking first place among the four teams participating in the meet.
Three of the Rebel golfers shot in the 30s to lead the way to a team score of 158. In second place was host team Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton with 163 and in third was Kenyon-Wanamingo with 200. Maple River had an incomplete score.
Leading the way for USC was sophomore Kadyn Neubauer with a 38. That score was good for third place as JWP’s Logan Thell took medalist honors with an even par score of 36, and JWP’s Steven Dimmel shot a 37.
USC senior Luke Pederson and sophomore Blake Bullerman tied for fourth place with identical 39s. USC junior Carter Hart finished off the Rebels’ team tally by coming in with a 42.

USC’s record is now 8-1 on the season. Their next varsity meet was scheduled to be an 18-hole tournament at Blooming Prairie on Saturday, April 23.
