The United South Central/Alden-Conger track teams concluded their season at the Section 2A Track Meet at Mankato West on Saturday, June 4.

The USC/AC athletes competed well, their coach, Kara Christianson said, but were not able to have a break-out run or throw to get them to the next level, which is the State competition.

Placing highest for USC/AC was Melany Ehlert, who was seventh in the 100-meter high hurdles with a time of 17.78.

Placing in eighth place was the 4×800-meter relay team, Alexis Guenther, Danika Diekmann, Paige Diekmann and Alyssa Samudio, with a time of 11:51.46.

Ehlert also came in at 10th place in the Shot Put with a distance of 30-9.50.

Other finishers at the Section 2A Meet were:

13th – Nathaniel Clore, 200-meter dash, 25.23;

14th – Antoinette Dickson, 100-meter dash, 13.95;

14th Gabe Schroeder, 800-meters run, 2:14.31;

14th – Melany Ehlert, 300-meters hurdles, 53.38;

15th – Alyssa Samudio, 800-meter run, 2:55.47.

“Congratulations to these athletes on a fine track and field season,” coach Christianson said. “They have all worked hard to make it to the Section Meet.”
