BEA boys down Medford
Bucs cruise to a big 78-42 win over Tigers
The Blue Earth Area boys basketball team had little trouble when they hosted the Medford Tigers on Monday, Feb. 20.
The Buccaneers scored 41 points in the first half on their way to a big 78-42 victory.
BEA was led by Abe Kokos who had 18 points. Austin Skaden added 10 points for the Bucs, while Ashton Lloyd had nine.
Max Loge, Branson Hauskins and Tayler Davids all had seven points for the Buccaneers in the big win.
Jacob Grandgenett led the team in rebounds with five. Lloyd had four assists and three steals and Kokos had three assists and Loge had three steals.
As a team the Bucs were 30 of 68 from the floor, which included going 11 of 38 for 3-pointers. They were also 7 of 8 from the free-throw line.
The big win put the Buccaneers’ record for the season at 13-7.
Next up for the Bucs was a game set for Thursday, Feb. 23, at Worthington. That game had a good chance of being postponed due to weather.
