The Bucs swept their second tennis meet of the season on Thursday, April 13. After suffering a narrow loss to Waseca on April 11, Blue Earth Area did not cede a single match to the Redwood Valley Cardinals two days later, bringing home a 7-0 win.
Buc Joe Frundt faced Cardinal Andrew Muetzel at No. 1 singles, where he booked an easy win in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.
BEA’s Brady Lorenz took the court against Redwood Valley’s Cole Johnson at No. 2 singles. Lorenz won a close first set against Johnson, 7-5, and swung a decisive victory in the second set, defeating his opponent 6-0.
At No. 3 singles, Jamie Johnson took on Cardinal Kanyon Hicks and emerged victorious in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3.

The Bucs’ following meet – a triangular hosted in Stewartville on Saturday, April 15 – was cancelled due to inclement weather.
However, BEA was slated to be back in action on Thursday, April 20, when they invited the Luverne Cardinals over for a home meet. They have two more meets scheduled at home on Monday, April 24, and Friday, April 28, against the Worthington Trojans and the Pipestone Arrows.
