Rebels host Section 2A True Team
Sixteen teams vied for opportunity to go to State Meet at Stillwater

United South Central High School hosted the Section 2A True Team Track Meet on May 9.
Jackson County Central finished in first place in the girls’ competition with a score of 834.
USC finished in ninth place with 497 points.
Antoinette Dickson placed 10th for the Rebels in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.06.
In the 1600 meter run, Alexis Guenther had a time of 6:02.13 to take 10th place.
USC’s 4 x 400 relay team finished in sixth place while their 4×200 and 4×800-meter relay teams each finished ninth.
Madison Passer cleared the high jump bar at 4-06 to capture eighth place.
Boys Results
The USC boys tallied a total of 178 points and finished in 16th place.
The top performer for the USC boys was Jayden Barnick who finished seventh in the high jump with a mark of 5-04.
LCWM/N Invite
The United South Central/Alden-Conger girls track team took fifth place at the Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial/Nicollet Track Meet that was held on Tuesday, May 2.
Leading the way for the Rebels were several second place finishers.
Antoinette Dickson was second in the 100-meter dash with a personal record time of 13.67.
Chloe Bullerman was second in the 300-meter hurdles with a personal record best time of 54:53.
Chloe Lutteke was second in the discus with another personal record distance of 92-00.
Madison Passer took third in the 100-meter hurdles with a personal record 18.77. Passer also took third in the high jump going 4-07.
Fourth place finishers included Alyssa Samudio in the 400-meter dash with a time of 72.60. Also in fourth was Alexis Guenther in the 1600-meter run.
In fourth place was the 4×800-meter relay team of Danika Diekmann, Clare Kruse, Emma Johnson and Kayla Thunstedt with a time of 13:22.11.
Also taking fourth was the 4×400-meter relay team of Danyelle Dickson, Bullerman, Guenther and Kruse with a personal record time of 4:47.86.
The 4×200-meter relay team was also fourth at 2:06.64. Team members are Jaelyn Stangler, Carmen Patino, Madison Meyer and Dickson.
Not to be outdone, the 4-x100-meter relay team of Dickson, Stangler, Meyer and Dickson was also fourth, with a time of 58.30.
Fifth place finishers included Kiera Schultz in the shot put with a personal record 30-01.00 distance.
Dickson took fifth in the 200-meter dash with a personal record 29.77. She also took seventh in the long jump going 13-06.
The 4×100-meter relay team of Ayla Schott, Becca Kruse, Niya Gonzalez and Morgan Beckman were fifth with a time of 60.43.
Gonzalez was also fifth in the 100-meter hurdles at 20.77. Madison Passer was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with a 57.54 time.
Beckman was sixth in the 100-meter dash with a personal record time of 14.19; Johnson was sixth in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:58.66; Alyssa Samudio was sixth in the 800-meter run at 3:04.03; and Stangler was sixth in the high jump at 4-05.
Sydney Sauke had a personal record 27-07 in the triple jump for seventh place and she had a personal record 59.67 in the 300-meter hurdles for eighth place; Evelyn Pichardo’s time of 3:10.63 in the 800-meter run was good for seventh; and Diekmann’s time of 3:11.89 in the 800-meter run put her in eighth.
USC/AC Boys Results
The USC/AC boys team ended up in sixth place.
Placing at the meet was the 4×400-meter relay team of Jayden Barnick, Jaiden Aranda, Isaac Hartman and Joshua Brooks, who with a personal record time of 4:31.65 ended up in fifth place.
Isaac Hartman took fifth place in the 300-meter hurdles at 52.69.
The 4×200-meter relay team of Aidan Rath, Noah Gonzalez, Alexis Arguijo and Jayden Barnick was in sixth place with a personal record time of 1:58.33. The team of Jaiden Aranda, Benjamin Schwartz, Riley Krohnberg and Brody Stern took seventh in the 4×200 with a time of 2:14.45.
Also in seventh was the 4×100-meter relay team of Arguijo, Jaiden Aranda, Jace Ignaszewski and Gonzalez with a time of 57.97.
