Sydney Sauke competed for the United South Central/Alden-Conger Rebels in the triple jump at the Section 2A Track Meet on June 3.

Eight United South Central/Alden-Conger girl track team members advanced from the subsection meet to the Section 2A Track Meet held on Saturday, June 3, at Mankato West High School.

While none of the USC/A-C girls advanced to the State Meet, coach Kara Christianson said the girls did a great job at the Section Meet and many of them set personal records.

Kiera Schultz placed the highest for the Rebel girls, getting fifth place in the shot put with a distance of 32-11.00, a personal best record for her.

Danyelle Dickson was sixth in the 400-meters with another personal best record time of 1:04.55.

Jaelyn Stangler also grabbed a sixth place finish and a personal best record with a height of 4-10 in the high jump.

Chloe Lutteke was ninth in the discus with a distance of 91-04. Chloe Bullerman had a 10th place finish in the 300-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 53.23.

Alexis Guenther had a personal best time of 5:53.52 in the 1600-meters good for 12th place and Sydney Sauke was also in 12th place in the triple jump with a distance of 29-11.75.

“Although we did not have anyone advance to the State meet, we are making progress to get there in upcoming years,” coach Christianson said. “Because of all of the PRs achieved this season, the kids are excited to continue working to keep improving for next season.”
