The United South Central Rebel football team did not fare so well when they traveled to Norwood-Young America to take on the Central Raiders.

Central (Norwood-Young America) won the game 28-0. The game was scoreless after the first quarter but the Raiders scored two touchdowns in the second quarter and one each in the third and fourth quarters.

All of USC’s yardage came on the ground. Byron Getchell led the way with 23 yards on 10 carries, with Dylan Bonsack gaining 13 on 10 totes. The team also lost yardage on some plays.

In the passing game, the Rebels had zero completions on six attempts.

On the defensive side, the Rebels were led by Blake Bullerman who had seven tackles. Isaiah Gonzalez added six, while Getchel and Bonsack each had four.

Kolt Bullerman, Jake Cassens, Avery Crawford and Gavin Grunzke all had three tackles.

The team punted four times in the game and turned the ball over on downs three times.

The loss drops the Rebels’ record to 1-2.
