Rebels hit the track for two indoor meets

Two days after their first indoor track meet of the season, the United South Central/Alden Conger Rebels track teams were back in action at Minnesota State – Mankato for another indoor meet.

The other teams competing along with the Rebels were Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, Minnesota Valley Lutheran, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva and Westbrook/Walnut Grove.

Girls Results

The Rebel girls finished in fourth place with 27 points.

Alexis Guenther ran a personal-best time of 6:00.86 in the 1600-meter run to capture first place.

Guenther was joined by Madison Passer, Chloe Bullerman and Danyelle Dickson in the 4 x 400-meter relay where they had a time of 4:45.65 to claim first place.

Also claiming a first-place finish was Chloe Lutteke with a heave of 33-2.5 in the shot put. Kierra Schultz nabbed fourth place in the same event with a toss of 28-1.

Sydney Sauke had a leap of 29 feet in the triple jump to finish in third place.

Rebecca Kruse finished in fifth place in the long jump with a mark of 13-1.5.

Tatum Stangler finished the 200-meter dash in fifth place with a time of 31.83.

The Rebels recorded two more fifth place finishes in the hurdle events. Passer had a time of 10.1 in the 55-meter high hurdles to finish fifth and McKenzie Roberts crossed the finish line in 10.53 in the 55-meter intermediate hurdles for her fifth-place finish.

Boys Results

Like the girls, the USC/AC boys also finished fourth in the team standings. The Rebels had 24 points.

The Rebel boys did not have any first-place finishes but recorded a number of second-place awards.

Brant Blosser was second in the 55-meter high hurdles in 7.77.

Also finishing in second place was the 4 x 400-meter relay team of Joshua Brooks, Caleb Whiteside, Isaac Hartman and Blosser with a time of 4:15.01.

Henry Beaver claimed second place in the shot put with a toss of 37-8 and Angel DeJesus finished second in the long jump with a leap of 17-6.

Many other Rebels finished in fifth place or higher in their events.

Maxwell Schull was fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.02.

Jayden Barnick cleared the bar at 5-6 in the high jump to take third place.

The pole vault saw Brooks earn a third-place finish when he went over the bar at 7-6 while teammate Garret Lau was fifth with a mark of 7 feet.

Gopher Conference

Indoor Meet

The United South Central/Alden Conger Rebels opened their track season on the campus of Minnesota State – Mankato on March 23. The team featured teams from the West Division of the Gopher Conference.

Girls Results

The Rebels placed third with 35.5 points. The other team scores were not available.

Danyelle Dickson finished first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.56. Her teammate McKenzie Roberts was fourth in the same race with a time of 1:20.5.

In the 55-meter high hurdles, Chloe Bullerman was third with a time of 10.5 and Roberts was fifth in 11.34.

Alexis Guenther had a time of 6:15.25 to take third place in the 1600-meter run.

The 55-meter intermediate hurdles saw Elise Hanson cross the finish line in 11.71 to capture fifth place.

The Rebels had a strong showing in the 800-meter run. Dani Betts placed third with a time of 3:39.73, Lindsay Thunstedt was third in 3:46.64 and Hailey Bjornstad was fourth in 3:53.35.

Dickson had a time of 30.26 in the 200-meter dash for a third-place finish while Bullerman crossed the finish line in 31.42 to take fifth place.

Chloe Lutteke had a toss of 31-8.5 to finish second in the shot put while Kierra Schultz’s heave of 27-5 was good for fifth place.

Dickson capped off her day with a leap of 12-2 in the long jump to place fourth in that event.

Boys Results

The USC/AC boys totaled 23.5 points which put them in third place.

Taking third in the 55-meter dash was Caleb Whiteside with a time of 7.25.

In the 55-meter high hurdles it was Isaac Hartman crossing the finish line with a time of 9.8 to claim second place.

The 55-meter intermediate hurdles saw Jayden Barnick place second with a time of 9.48 and Jace Ignaszewski finish third in 9.69.

Aiden Edwards had a time of 2:47.06 to finish in fourth place in the 800-meter run.

Henry Beaver had a toss of 38-11 in the shot put to take second place.

Barnick cleared the bar in the high jump at a height of 5-6 to take fourth place and Joshua Brooks was fourth in the pole vault with a mark of 8-0.
