Jackson Blondin chips to the green on hole No. 3 at Riverside Town and Country Club during BEA’s meet against Maple River on April 12. Blondin was the medalist for the boys with a round of 36.

Both the Blue Earth Area boys and girls won their golf meets against the Maple River Eagles on Friday, April 12. The action took place at Riverside Town and Country Club.

Boys Results

It was a 51 stroke win for the Bucs who recorded a team score of 170 against the Eagles’ score of 221.

BEA captured the top six spots in the meet with Jackson Blondin earning medalist honors with a three-over-par round of 36.

Blondin birdied hole No. 6 and parred the fourth, fifth, eighth and ninth holes.

Max Loge was the runner-up with a 42. Loge birdied hole No. 4 and parred the fifth and sixth holes.

Manny Granillo’s round of 44 put him in third place. Granillo parred hole No. 2 and hole No. 3.

Earning fourth-place honors was Hunter Viland with a 45. Viland parred No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5.

Eli Blagg finished with a 46 to take fifth place. His round included a par on hole No. 3.

Cole Becker parred the third and ninth holes on his way to a round of 47 and a sixth place finish.

Maple River’s top golfer was Gavin Christenson who carded a 51 for the day.

Girls Results

The Blue Earth Area girls had a team score of 187 while Maple River had an incomplete team with only three golfers.

BEA’s Katelyn Storbeck was the medalist with a four-over-par round of 40. She birdied hole No. 1 and parred the second, fourth, sixth and ninth holes.

Finishing second was the Bucs’ Rylan Storbeck. Her score of 44 included a birdie on Hole No. 9 and pars on the fourth and seventh holes.

Payten Gudahl took third place with a round of 50 and the Eagles’ Rebecca Walters tied for fourth place with the Bucs’ Lola Lundquist at 53.

Lundquist had one par during her round. It was on the ninth hole.

Also golfing for the Bucs were McKinley Hanson, who finished with a 54 and Madison Ehrich, who tallied a 58. Hanson parred holes five and six during her round.
