Rebel girls finish fifth, boys are sixth at BEA Invitational Meet

The United South Central/Alden-Conger boys and girls track teams participated in the Blue Earth Area Buccaneer Invitational Track Meet on Friday, April 12.

The USC/AC girls team ended in fifth place with 205.5 points. Taking first place was Fairmont with 371 points, Sibley East with 323 in second, St. James Area third with 256, BEA fourth with 246.5 and Maple River sixth with 175.

On the boys side, USC/AC was in sixth place with 182.5 points. Taking first was Fairmont with 374.5 points, St. James Area was second with 286, Sibley East third with 267.5, Maple River fourth with 216.5 and BEA fifth with 207.

USC/AC Girls Results

The USC/AC girls had a couple of first-place finishers. Kiera Schultz took first in the shot put with a personal best record of 34-2.

The shuttle hurdle relay team of Madison Passer, McKenzie Roberts, Sydney Sauke and Chloe Bullerman also took first with a time of 1:17.9.

Passer took second in the high jump with a height of 4-7, a personal record, and Bullerman took second in the 300 meter hurdles with a personal record time of 52.6.

Chloe Lutteke took third in the shot put with a personal record distance of 33-3, and Sauke took third in the triple jump with a distance of 29-7, a personal record.

Danyelle Dickson had a personal record time of 1:05.9 in the 400 meters to claim fourth place.

Taking fifth place in the 4×800 meter relay, with a time of 13:12.5, was the team of Clare Kruse, Emma Johnson, Hannah Warmka and Roberts.

The 4×400 meter relay team of Dickson, Johnson, Kruse and Bullerman also took fifth with a time of 4:49.4.

Also fifth was the 4×100 meter relay team of Sauke, Schultz, Jaelyn Stangler and Tatum Stangler with a personal record time of 59.2.

Jaelyn Stangler was also fifth in the high jump with a height of 4-5.

Taking sixth place was the 4×200 meter relay team of Mikaylee Roth, Aliza Nietzel, Stangler and Tatum Stangler with a time of 2:08.2, a team personal record.

Also taking sixth place in the long jump was Bullerman with a distance of 12-5.5.

USC/AC Boys Results

The USC/AC boys shuttle hurdle relay team took second place with a time of 1:12.2. Team members are Brant Blosser, Jayden Barnick, Jace Ignaszewski and Isaac Hartman.

Taking third place in the discus, with a personal-best record distance of 120-9, was Ezra Edwards.

Blosser took fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.3. The 4×800 meter relay team of Benjamin Schwartz, Riley Krohnberg, Samuel Treptow and Garrett Lau also took a fourth place with a time of 11:42.3.0.

Taking fifth place in the 4×200 meter relay was the team of Caleb Whiteside, Angel Dejesus, Aiden Rath and Alexis Arguijo with a team personal record of 1:48.2. The 4×100 meter relay team also took fifth with a personal record time of 48.6. Team members are Whiteside, Arguijo, Dejesus and Blosser.

In sixth place was Ignaszewski in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 49.5, a personal record; the sprint medley relay team of Jaiden Aranda, Joshua Brooks, Hartman and Lau with a time of 4:50.6; the 4×400 meter relay team of Barnick, Hartman, Brooks, and Maxwell Schull, with a time of 4:09.3; and Henry Beaver in the shot put with a personal record distance of 39-2.
