The United South Central Rebels baseball team lost a close, 2-0 game to the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms on Friday, May 17.

The Blossoms scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and that proved to be all of the scoring in the rest of the game.

The Rebels actually outhit the Blossoms 7-4, but could not get a runner across the plate. USC had 11 runners left on base during the game.

Kolt Bullerman and Mason Haugh each had two hits in the game, with one of Haugh’s a double.

Aiden Crabtree, Mitch Meyer and Avery Crawford had one hit each.

Crabtree pitched all seven innings and gave up the two runs on four hits, did not walk any batters and struck out six.

Of the four Blooming Prairie hits, one was a double and two were triples.

Kenyon-Wanamingo 11, USC 0

The USC Rebels ran into a hot Kenyon-Wanamingo team on Thursday, May 16. The Rebels lost 11-0 in five innings.

K-W had six hits in the game and USC had none.

Four Rebels pitched during the game. Mitch Meyer pitched three innings and gave up six runs (three earned) on four hits, walked three batters and struck out three. Kolt Bullerman came in for one inning and gave up two runs, both earned, on two hits. He walked one and had no strikeouts.

Dylan Stephens came in and gave up three runs, two earned, and walked two. Zayden Schott pitched one inning and gave up no hits or runs, walked two and struck out none.

The Kenyon-Wanamingo pitcher went all five innings giving up no hits or runs and struck out 13 of the 16 USC batters.
