Beats the State Standard to move on in the 110 high hurdles

Brant Blosser clears a hurdle at the Section 2A Track Meet on his way to qualifying for the Minnesota State Class A Tournament.

The United South Central/Alden-Conger track teams had just one trackster qualify at the Section 2A Meet to move on to the 2024 State Track Meet.

Brant Blosser qualified for State in the 110 high hurdles event.

Blosser ended up in fourth in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 15.38. However, he became a State qualifier because he hit below the State Standard of 15.55.

Blosser actually ran a faster time, 15.29, in the 110 high hurdles prelims. It was a personal best time for him.

Other results for the USC/AC track team members who qualified at SubSection to move on the Section include:

Jayden Barnick took fourth in the high jump with a height of 5-10.

Isaac Hartman was 10th in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 45.56, a personal record. Ezra Edwards was 10th in the discus with a distance of 115-10.

Angel Dejesus was 15th in the long jump, going 17-5.25.

USC/AC Girls Results

Chloe Lutteke had the best finish for the girls team, placing fourth in the discus with a distance of 102-04.

Danyelle Dickson was sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.64, a personal record best.

Alexis Guenther was seventh in the 1600 meter with a time of 5:57.64 and Chloe Bullerman was seventh in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.67.

Madison Passer was seventh in the 100 high hurdles with a time of 17.44. However, in the 110 high hurdles prelims, she set a personal record time of 17.31. Sydney Sauke also set a personal record time of 17.79 in the prelims.

Passer was also 10th in the high jump going a height of 4-09.

Kiera Schultz was 14th in the shot put with a toss of 29-01.
