USC boys take fourth at Albert Lea Invite
After finishing second at Maple River Invite cross country meet
The United South Central/Alden-Conger cross country teams participated in the Albert Lea Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The boys team came in fourth with a team score of 105, while the girls had an incomplete team score.
Laiken Farris led the team, coming in at 12th with a time of 20:15. Isaac Hartman was 21st with a time of 21:54.
Coming in at 29th was Samuel Treptow at 24:05. Aiden Edwards was 32nd with a time of 24:52, Alexis Arguijo was 34th at 25:12 and Benjamin Schwartz had a time of 28:41 to come in at 38th place.
Belle Plaine took first for the boys teams with 19 points, Albert Lea was second with 60 and Waseca was third with 64.
The USC/AC girls had three runners. Alexis Guenther led the way coming in at 19th place with a time of 24:51. Emma Johnson was 25th with a time of 26:46. Clare Kruse had a time of 26:58, good for 26th place.
Maple River Invite
The United South Central/Alden-Conger cross country teams participated in the Maple River Invitational in Mapleton last week on Thursday, Sept. 12.
The boys team came in at second place in the five team meet.
Leading the way for the boys was Laiken Farris who took sixth place with a time of 21:07. Right behind him, in seventh place with a time of 21:18, was Isaac Hartman.
Aiden Edwards came in at 16th place with a time of 22:53. Samuel Treptow had a time of 23:49 for 22nd place, and right behind him, in 23rd place with a time of 23:58, was Alexis Arguijo. Benjamin Schwartz was 40th with a time of 26:58.
With only three girls running, the USC/AC girls team did not have a team score.
Alexis Guenther led the team with a time of 23:35 which was good for third place.
Clare Kruse had a time of 25:17 and came in at 10th place while Emma Johnson had a time of 26:24 and placed 14th.
Minnesota Valley Lutheran won the boys side of the meet with a score of 24. USC/AC was second with 60, WEM-JWP was third with 79, Medford fourth with 91 and Blue Earth Area was fifth with 100 team points.
