USC/A-C boys run to first-place finish at Grizzly Pie Invitational

The United South Central/Alden-Conger cross country boys team took first place at the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown/Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Grizzly Pie Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 26.

USC/AC boys had 60 points to take the first place honors. In second place was Randolph with 65, Blooming Prairie was third at 69, Blue Earth Area fourth at 84, Medford fifth with 102 points and host WEM/JWP sixth at 108.

Leading the way for USC/AC was Laiken Farris who was fourth with a time of 19:35. Isaac Hartman took 10th with a time of 20:26.

Alexis Arguijo had a time of 22:24 for 17th place, Aiden Edwards 18th with a time of 22:25, Riley Krohnberg 25th with 23:34, Samuel Kreptow 26th with a time of 23:36 and Benjamin Schwartz had a time of 26:13 for 42nd place.

The USC/AC girls team came in at sixth place with a score of 116. WEM/JWP won it with a score of 43 and Blue Earth Area was second with a score of 74. Randolph was third at 80, NRHEG was fourth at 87 and Medford fifth at 105.

Alexis Guenther led USC/AC coming in at ninth place with a time of 23:38.

Emma Johnson was 24th at 26:40, Clare Kruse 31st at 28:29, Hailey Bjornstad was in 50th place with a time of 34:52 and Isabella Guenther was 53rd at 38:46.
