USC fourth at Gopher
The United South Central/Alden Conger boys and girls cross country teams each took fourth place at the Gopher Conference Cross Country Meet held in Janesville on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Plus, two boys and one girl ended up being All-Conference.
Laiken Farris came in with a time of 19:06 to take third place and be named All-Conference. Isaac Hartman had a time of 19:57 for ninth place and was also named All-Conference.
Alexis Guenther for the girls came in with a time of 21:22, good for fourth place and she was also named All-Conference.
The boys had a total of 86 points for their fourth place finish. Randolph took first with 43 points, Blooming Prairie was second with 60, WEM/JWP was third at 64 points, Medford fifth at 105 and Hayfield sixth at 145.
USC/ACs other boys included Aiden Edwards with a time of 21:13 for a 21st place finish and right behind him was Riley Krohnberg at 22nd place with a time of 21:17. In 31st place was Benjamin Schwartz with a time of 23:41.
For the girls team, Clare Kruse was in 22nd place with a time of 25:03, Emma Johnson was in 24th place with a time of 25:35, Hailey Bjornstad had a time of 30:21 for 37th place and Isabella Guenther was in 38th place with a time of 32:46.
Waterville-Elysian-Morristown/Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton was in first place at the conference meet for girls with a score of 39.
Blooming Prairie was second with 50, Randolph third at 62, USC/AC fourth with 100 and Medford fifth with 107.
