USC girls win one, lose one
Despite a 27-point effort by Olivia Bungum, the United South Central Rebels girls basketball team suffered a 57-48 loss when they played the Maple River Eagles on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
Besides Bungum’s 27 points, Ivy O’Rourke added eight points and Taylor Schroeder had six points in the game.
The loss put the Rebels’ record at 2-2.
USC’s next game was set for Friday, Dec. 13, when they were scheduled to play Triton.
This week they will have three games, starting with hosting Martin County West on Tuesday, Dec. 17, playing at Lyle-Pacelli on Thursday, Dec. 19 and then hosting New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva on Friday, Dec. 20.
USC 58, FBA 43
The United South Central Rebel girls basketball team took on Faribault Bethlehem Academy and came away with a big 58-43 victory.
Ivy O’Rourke led the Rebels in scoring by putting up 25 points. Olivia Bungum added 16 points.
Alivia Bruegger had nine points and also led the team in rebounds with 12. Chloe Bullerman also had a good night at the basket grabbing 11 rebounds.
Taylor Schroeder added six points for the Rebels’ efforts.
The win put the Rebels’ record at 2-1 for the season and 1-1 in the Gopher Conference. FBA’s record dropped to 0-3 with the loss.
