BEA gymnast Tailor Douglas shows off her skills during her performance on the beam at a home meet in Blue Earth.

The Blue Earth Area Buccaneers’ gymnastics team was back in action on Monday, Jan. 27, when they traveled to Jackson to take on the Jackson County Central Huskies.

The host Huskies defeated the Bucs 131-125.2.

“It’s not reflected in our score, but we had a decent night,” BEA head coach Rachel Cole said after the meet. “There were only about three routines which didn’t go as hoped, but we did count six falls on beam, which is not as consistent as we have been the past couple of meets.”

Cole also shared she was pleased to finally have everyone back in the lineup after some of the athletes missed some time because of injuries.

Tailor Douglas was BEA’s top performer in vault with an 8.725 which was good for third place. Parker Stallman had an 8.525 to finish sixth, Kailey Boettcher was eighth with 8.175, MaLeah Osmundson was ninth with 8.05 and Kyannah Brandt was 10th with 7.95.
