USC boys win by 30 over Medford
Will close out regular season on the road at St. Clair on Feb. 24

USC 71, Medford 41
The United South Central Rebels boys basketball team jumped on the Medford Tigers early with a 12-0 lead and would never look back in their game played on Friday, Feb. 14.
The Rebels would end up winning by 30 points, 71-41.
“We led by 19 at the half, 36-17,” coach Adam Walker said. “And we would extend the lead to 29 midway through the second half. Medford cut the lead down to 18 but no closer.”
The Rebels had four players reach double figures in scoring. Aiden Crabtree led the way with a game-high 17 points.
Dylan Stephens added 13 points, Zayden Schott 12 and Wyatt Sparks 11. Schott also led the way in rebounding with 10, to complete his double-double.
The Rebels made 19 of 40 shots from 2-point distance (48 percent) and 10 of 30 for 3-pointers (33 percent) and 3 of 4 for free-throws (75 percent).
The Tigers were 9 of 28 (32 percent) for 2-pointers, 6 of 24 for 3-pointers (25 percent) and 5 of 7 from the charity stripe (71 percent).
USC had 40 rebounds to Medford’s 30, 20 assists to their six, six steals to their five, three blocks to their none and seven turnovers to their 15.
USC’s last regular season game is at St. Clair on Feb. 24.
