USC falls to top-seeded Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s
Rebels end their basketball season with 15 wins and 13 losses

Olivia Bungum was one of the leaders on USC’s girls basketball team this season. The Rebels finished their season with a record of 15 wins and 13 losses.
The United South Central girls basketball team’s season came to an end when they lost in the quarterfinals of the Section 2A Basketball Tournament.
After having defeated Nicollet in a 46-44 come-from-behind thriller on Monday night, Feb. 24, the No. 8 seeded Rebel girls lost to the No. 1 seeded Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s Knights team by a final score of 78 to 45.
The game was played on Thursday night, Feb. 27, in St. Peter.
Olivia Bungum led the Rebels with 16 points. Taylor Schroeder added 10 points, Alivia Bruegger had nine points, Ivy O’Rourke added six points and both Chloe Bullerman and Grace Walton had two points each.
The Rebels ended the season with a 15-13 record.
