Rebels open track season in Mankato

The United South Central/Alden-Conger track teams took part in a four-team indoor track meet on March 24 held at Myers Field House on the campus of Minnesota State University – Mankato.

In addition to USC/A-C, the other four teams competing were Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva and Westbrook-Walnut Grove.

Girls Results

The Rebels’ girls team finished in third place with 35 points, just a few points out of second place.

Chloe Bullerman, Alexis Guenther, Clare Kruse and Danyelle Dickson gave the Rebels a first-place finish in the 4×800-meter relay with a time of 4:47.77.

In the 4×800-meter relay, Kruse, Emma Johnson, Hannah Warmka and Guentherd had a time of 12:39 to finish in second place.

The 4×200-meter relay team of Dickson, Elise Hanson, Allie Wilder and Jaelyn Stangler finished fourth in 2:14.

Tatum Stangler finished fourth in the 55-meter dash in 8.17. She also had a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 31.73.

Dickson finished second in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.

Bullerman finished fourth in the 55-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 10.66. Sidney Sauke was fifth in the same event with a time of 10.45.

Sauke and Bullerman reversed their position in the 55-meter high hurdles. Sauke was fourth in 10.09 and Bullerman was fifth in 10.20.

The top performers for USC/A-C in the field events included Tatum Stangler who finished second in the long jump with a distance of 13-4.

Sauke took third in the triple jump with a mark of 28-11.

Warmka cleared the bar in the high jump at 4-4 to take fourth place. Madison Passer also achieved a mark of 4-4 and finished in fifth place.

Boys Results

The USC/A-C boys finished in second place at the meet with 84 points. They had a number of first-place performances.

Isaac Hartman finished first in the 55-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 8:17. Brant Blosser took second place in the event with a time of 8:23, Jace Ignaszewski was fourth in 9.17 and Jayden Barnick was fifth in 9.60.

In the 55-meter high hurdles, Blosser took first in 7.89 while Hartman was second in 8.39.

The 4×400-meter relay team of Joseph Ridler, Ignaszewski, Hartman and Blosser captured first place with a time of 4:10.

Angel Dejusus claimed first place in the long jump with a distance of 19-1.

Barnick cleared the bar in the high jump at 5-10 to finish in second place.

In the pole vault, Joshua Brooks’ mark of 9-6 put him in second place.

Alexis Arguijo finished the triple jump with a distance of 34-10 which was good for third place.

Henry Beaver had a toss of 39-8 to finish third in the shot put. Ezra Edwards finished fourth with a distance of 37-6.

In the 400-meter dash, Arguijo crossed the finish line in 1:03 to finish in fifth place.

Dejesus finished second in the 55-meter dash in 6.75.

The 4×200-meter team of Maxwell Schull, Shaune Peterson, Gavin Bird and Dejesus had a time of 1:48 to finish in second place.

Syler Sandsmark, Samuel Treptow, Riley Krohnberg and Garrett Lau completed the 4×800-meter relay in 10:40 to place fourth.
